Insane Love
by Nat J

Ranting and raving
I let my intentions
known to all
Howling, I was
choking on my own
insanity
I challenged the whole
Jungle
Yet, only one creature
dared to accept it
I found myself staring
down a tiger
with the same level
of mental stability
Though I was unarmed
I was no less ferocious
in the ensuing battle
As we both lay dying
He purred briefly and
I rasped, "Thank you"
even with his jaws
firmly clenched in my throat
The scavenging animals,
thankfully, let our bodies
Rot In Peace
Allowing us to lovingly
embrace each other for
Eternity
